More on the Juilliard Gift
The NY Times has a piece on the Kovner gift. I didn't realize there were building an entire room for the collection at Juilliard (perhaps as part of his $25M gift to the School). Awesome. And according to the Times UK article, "Professor Curtis Price, principal of the Royal Academy of Music in London, said: 'This has turned the Juilliard into the premiere manuscripts collection almost overnight.'" Bruce Kovner is an amateur pianist and recently "bought a harpsichord to continue his keyboard indulgence." I'm always happy to hear of harpsichords in the news. Be sure to view the audio slideshow on the NY Times page.
For more articles, it's Google News to the rescue. Now that's hot.
